The Youth Shelter provides safe, supported short-term emergency accommodation for young people aged 12–21 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The shelter can accommodate up to 8 young people at a time.
During their stay, we support young people to find other safe, secure accommodation. This may include family reunification or moving to independent living through private rental or social housing.
Youth services offer a range of supports including referrals to counselling and mediation for personal or family issues, as well as connections to specialised services including:
Counselling
Mediation services
Alcohol and drug misuse services
Sexual assault support
Mental wellbeing support
NDIS providers
Job network agencies
