Home Emergency Relief Program

Our Emergency Relief Program provides food vouchers to eligible individuals and families in our community on low incomes. In special circumstances, we may also be able to assist with:

Emergency accommodation
Rent arrears
Transport (such as bus/train tickets or fuel)

All assistance is subject to assessment.

Program Details:

Emergency Relief is available weekly on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

It can be accessed once every 8 weeks.

Call us in the morning to check your eligibility. If eligible, we will book a same-day appointment.

During the appointment, an assessment will be completed, and referrals to specialist services may be offered. These referrals help ensure individuals receive the most relevant and comprehensive support to address underlying issues or concerns.

SecondBite Program

IYFC is a distribution charity partner for the SecondBite Program. We collect and redistribute food donations from Coles Monday through Friday. These donations are delivered to:

IYFC clients
Other local community groups
Accommodation centres
Other individuals identified as needing additional assistance

Donations also help stock a food pantry located in our office reception area, which community members can access during business hours.
